E23: Scotland's brand new eMTB-only race adventure

19 & 20 August 2023, Innerleithen

E23: The eMTB weekend has arrived

Two e-mtb riders on forest trail
TweedLove’s Electric Weekend 2023 supported by Bosch eBike Systems – E23 for short – is a brand new, two-day adventure, designed specifically and exclusively for eMTB riders.

At last there’s an event to do justice to all that eMTBs have to offer, taking you far out into our awesome valley and onto a big selection of the Tweed Valley’s best MTB trails.

eMTBs are growing fast in popularity, but most races and events haven’t prioritised this kind of bike or riding until now. eMTB categories have been shoe-horned into existing analog bike race formats – always a compromise, and one which usually produces a less than brilliant experience for the riders.

E23 aims to create the UK’s best eMTB weekend riding experience, combining some of the country’s best trails with a weekend/mini-festival event base. E23 will be the first event of its kind but we have a strong hunch it’s going to grow into a an important fixture in the MTB calendar.

The Course

A big-scale course, with the emphasis very much on the quality descents the Tweed Valley is known for.

We’ll go further from home to sample the best of the valley, taking riders to some remote and adventurous places, and into some largely undiscovered MTB forests. Think a big-scale Tweed Valley enduro with some uphill sections and a technical climb or two.

The course will be marked throughout but you’ll get a digital map to show you the way to go.

The course is designed to be completed each day using one battery, but an alternative race category for those who want to use an extra battery is available.
